We are located in the beautiful Hill Country, northwest of San Antonio out IH-10 in between Boerne and Comfort.  We are a father and son partnership.  In case you are wondering Mc17 is our logo derived from our last name McIlhany and the number 17 which was Dan's professional football number when he played for the Los Angles Rams now the St. Louis Rams.  Dan, Bryan and Barbara are all involved with the cattle.  Dan is a veterinarian in San Antonio.  Bryan has an Animal Science degree from Texas A&M.  Barbara has retail stores with Birkenstock shoes.  Our herd is comprised of Maine-Anjou and Exotic X-Bred cows. In our herd we emphasize quality genetics.  Every year we have a great set of AI and ET calves for sale.  We normally calve in the fall but we will have a few spring borns every year.  The majority of our calves will be sired by the leading Club Calves and Maine Anjou Bulls.  We will be offering steers, heifers and bulls in our sales.  All price ranges to fit any budget.  We provide a friendly service and would be glad to assist you with any needs you might have while showing your calf.  We understand the efforts and the sacrifices it takes to produce a successful product so we strive to do our best at producing the best possible cattle we can.  So when you are in the area drop by or give us a call and we will see what we can help you with.
